This was exactly what came to my mind the moment I saw the thread - even if the company assures its users that they are going to delete their data from their system upon request — there’s no way for them to actually confirm that it was done and the deletion was made permanently and not in a way that it can be retrieved back.

Based on the information provided, they have over 15 million customers worldwide, do definitely not all are even aware of this news, while some might even have forgotten or lost track on the news about them, thereby their data would still be with the platform after the deadline.

Except they want to be really greedy they might not want to sell the data of those who requested them to delete before deadline which may lead to another legal case against them that they probably lost depending on the effect of this.

This is true but unfortunately this company offer DNA services and the information from customers are what they are also selling which can be more likely dangerous.
