There is no guarantee that you will make a profit by investing in Bitcoin. The Bitcoin market is very volatile, there is never a guarantee that you will make a 100% profit by investing in Bitcoin. But the risk in long-term investment is much lower than in short-term investment. No one is ever able to predict, all we can do is guess.

I disagree with you if you said that all we do is to guess. If you talk about guessing that means you're indirectly telling us that bitcoin investment is just like that of gambling that we guess correctly most times, while sometimes your guessing may not also work as you expected. Bitcoin is a highly volatile asset no doubt,  it may not be suitable for everyone's risk tolerance. Many  investors believe that Bitcoin has the potential to appreciate over the long term, making it a good investment for those who are willing to take the risk.

Well he is correct but not for long term investors. Guessing the price movement is done by short term traders,[/] those who thinks they're buying at the dip and wait for the market to pump a little  within a short period of time and sell when it goes up. Short term traders loss from the market  because they are guessing the price should go up within a limited amount of time. If I'm  being honest, I've  never seen any long term trader who actually complains bitterly about lossing from his investment  this is because  from technical analysis it shows that the overall movement  of bitcoin is bullish irrespective of the small bear seasons that we experienced and aside that, the concept  of demand and supply  explains that the higher the demand and limited amount of supply creating scarcity, the product price will eventually  go up. So you see that there are no guesses around here, but short term traders who happen to trade around those bearish season are likely to run at loss because of the volatility and markets manipulations.

I will say there is no point arguing about the word guessing because it also means prediction or speculation of which any one can guess, predict or speculates the price of Bitcoin including a trader or investor and this is a function of Bitcoin being volatile in nature. However, those trading should be nothing to be referred to as a long term trader because they don't have the ability to hold for long term hence they should be generally be called traders and not long term traders as in your post.

you are saying things the wrong way and that's the reason why I we disagree  to this your statement above, because your statement will mislead newbies alot, investing in bitcoin for long term will always be successful and profitable if you manage your cash flow Very well, because for your bitcoin investment to be successful on the long run, it has to depend on the plan and the mindset of the person that investing in bitcoin and not on bitcoin, if the person plan very well he or she will know how to allocate his cash flow wisely and smartly in other for his or her bitcoin investment to be successful on the long run.
First of all it is obvious you fail to understand that there are risk involved in bitcoin investment and the reason why long term investment is prioritise over short term is because of the volatile nature of bitcoin,no investors can speculate or predict correctly the exact price of bitcoin for that reason short term investment is more riskier when compared with longer term investment, however we can't say for sure that the fact that we are holding bitcoin for a long term that our investment in bitcoin is going to be successful,so long term investment is not a guarantee that our investment is going to be successful.
Having the mindset tp hodl their I'd guarantee for an investment to be successful but investing for longterm their is no guarantee because investing for longterm a lot happens and one might decide to sell because even investor who have longterm plans still have a specific time of when to sell. But when you have the mindset t hodl , it is a continuous investment plan that one will see every movement of the market and holding bitcoin is always profitable but longterm investment is still unclear if it will be a successful investment.
Holders and longterm investors are two different things , holders hodl on to bitcoin irrespective of the market fluctuations and with this it is usually profitable while longterm investors have a time frame and this investment is not guaranteed of profit.
Holders are classified into long term and short term. People can say they are holders of bitcoin but you have to know if they are long term or short term. It is long term investors that hold bitcoin irrespective of the market situation. You can either refer to such investors as long term holder or long term investor. So I don't agree with you when you said that Holders and long term investors are two different different things. Your description of long term investors best describe short term investors or short term holders. While your description of Holders is best suits long term investors or long term holders.

Those holding for as long as 4 years that is one cycle should be seen as short term holders and those holding as long as 4 to 10 years or more as long term holders.
