However, if the U.S or any other institution or group wants to uncover who the founder is, it is very simple. I am very sure that before launching the ecosystem. There are certain necessities and requirements which will require documents and business owner profile also stating the business mission and vision of the business. So from those documents there could be trace of satoshi Nakamoto.
You are assuming he had setup a business with the aim of creating Bitcoin. He didn't. As far as anyone knows he acted as an independent programmer when he started working on the idea of Bitcoin - he was not part of any business when he created Bitcoin. As such - no records.

The closest anyone can come is looking at who 1st registered this forum (that he created) as that does require some documentation. As you should know, anyone can register a website and a site does not have to be a business. Thing is, of course the person registered does not have to be Satoshi (and most likely isn't) -but - no doubt did work with him.

New questions should be this: When did Bitcointalk become a registered business? Was it before or after ownership was transferred to theymos? If it was after then the records start with theymos. If it was before, then things are more fuzzy as the forum could have been ran by others with Satoshi staying out of the public record. No doubt there are some folks who know The Truth and to their credit have fully respected Satoshi's desire to remain unknown.
