Aston Villa demolished their in form opponent, now one would wonder where exactly is this performance coming from, where was it all these while, even me too I'm wondering. It's just funny how certain teams find their forms especially at this stage of the competition. This win against Newcastle now places Aston Villa as the most in form team of the league in recent weeks. Few months ago, I didn't think people thought of Aston Villa qualifying for next season's Champions League but right now, their qualification seems eminent to me.

Let's just say that Aston Villa was distracted by the Champions League games because they channeled all their energy there but since they couldn't move further after facing elimination by PSG in the quarter finals, they now have to retrace their root which is the Premier League because that was exactly where they got the opportunity to play at the Champions League and considering the experience they got in the Champions League games, they still want to have same experience next season, hence the reason why they played Newcastle like a baby club a gave them a whooping 4:1 victory at the Villa park. Qualifying for the Champions League games next season seems achievable for Aston Villa because they have equal points with Nottingham Forest who occupied the 5th position with goal differences so if Aston Villa remains consistent they can overtake Nottingham Forest before the season ends and get ticket to next season's Champions League games.
