Regular gambler = has long-term losses
Professional Gambler = has long-term losses
In both cases there is no big difference, so much so that the guys who consider themselves sports bettors keep creating YouTube and Telegram channels and selling courses as a source of income and do not show proof that they are making constant profits from gambling. In my opinion, people should not gamble with the intention of making long-term profits because they will fail. I've seen many sports bettors who consider themselves professional bettors but who never post their supposed profits
I wouldn't tell it like that, IMO it's more relevant to say
Regular gambler has short-term losses and long-term losses while thinking he will manage to get short-term winnings while Professional gambler has short-term losses and long-term losses too while thinking he will manage to get long-term winnings LOL
Well what this guy is saying about the mindset of a good and a bad bettor is rather relevant and could be applied to trading actually but I think it's a bit exaggerated to say that real professional bettors just treat losses as a data because if you bust your bankroll you can play anymore even if you were only gambling what you could afford to lose. So there is inevitably stress when the losses are too great, you can have a good strategy but a very bad luck in the same way an amateur bettor could have a bad strategy and a very good luck. For example playing national lotteries is theoritcally a very bad startegy if you look at their RTP, but some lottery players win jackpots and more money than any professional bettor will ever win.
