Is it even necessary for Amorim to rest players, the match against Athletic Bilbao is still next week so what is the need of resting players. They have another Premier League game against Bournemouth next Sunday so why rest players this week instead of resting when they meet with Bournemouth. All i just saw was that the players where literally exhausted from their Europa league match against Lyon because they used a lot of energy before the defeated Lyon so i don't see their lose against Wolves today as a big deal. As for their Europa League semifinal match against Athletic Bilbao, they are to play in the home team of Bilbao so you don't need to expect much from them because even if they lose to Bilbao, it is quite understandable since it's their home but when they come to Old Trafford that is when you should expect the best of their performance of Manchester United. The young talents they featured in today's game were impressive indeed, i think Amorim should be playing them more frequently so that they can adapt to the play system of the senior team.
They've nothing to play for in the premier league. Whether they win against wolves or not, it
wouldn'twould have taken them
anywherenowhere. They would still be in 14th position. So it was necessary to rest some players after a busy couple of weeks. Although, I don't know if it would have changed the outcome of the match against wolves but it
wouldwill give the players time to recharge their batteries and be in good shape for the match against Athletic Bilbao.
