I will not be mistaken if I answer for all traders that money is the main motivator. And this applies not only to trading. And this applies not only to trading, as money is a tool for achieving a goal that can be different for everyone.

True, money is always the motivation, we aren't spending 24/7 monitoring the chart, setting up alarm for when there's big price action even in the middle of the night for nothing, money is always the motivation and it's not because of greed, but it's always good to have money and there's no such thing as too much money anyway.
The pain is worth the reward and that's why many traders keep going.
It's basically the strongest motivation there is for people who know what money actually worth in modern world and what financial freedom actually means.
