Manchester United perform poorly in the Premier League but are doing well in the Europa League. I don’t blame Amorim because Manchester United were already mid-table when he joined the club. It could be that the coach made the decision to take the Europa League games seriously because they have nothing to achieve this season. There only hope is to win the Europa league to gain automatic qualification to the Champions League.

For the second time this season, Manchester United lost to Wolverhampton, and although it was only a narrow 1-0 defeat, the defeat was quite embarrassing because in that match, Man United acted as the host.

If we look at Man United's six appearances in the previous season, usually Old Trafford has always been the last line of defense for Man United to be able to win and also get points. However, this season the team really performed badly, so that both away and home games were no different at all. They really did not perform as expected.

This was a match I had expected Aston villa to win despite the good shape of Newcastle in the premiership. My expectations comes as Villa got eliminated from the UCL their entire focus would now be to find a spot in the top five for next season's UCL but what I never envisaged was the number of goals Newcastle conceded in this match, it was crazy to see them lose so cheaply with such goals margin. The 3 spots left after Liverpool and Arsenal are spots we're not yet certain of those to occupy eventually.

Currently Aston Villa is quite close to the top 5 of the standings so their chances of finishing in 5th position are still quite possible for them to fight for until the season really ends.

This season they performed quite well in the UCL, although in the end they had to be eliminated in the quarter-finals, but for an underdog team like Aston Villa this is an extraordinary achievement. So there is a big hope that Aston Villa will return to participate in the Champions League next season.
