This was a match I had expected Aston villa to win despite the good shape of Newcastle in the premiership. Currently Aston Villa is quite close to the top 5 of the standings so their chances of finishing in 5th position are still quite possible for them to fight for until the season really ends.

This season they performed quite well in the UCL, although in the end they had to be eliminated in the quarter-finals, but for an underdog team like Aston Villa this is an extraordinary achievement.
