This was a match I had expected Aston villa to win despite the good shape of Newcastle in the premiership. My expectations comes as Villa got eliminated from the UCL their entire focus would now be to find a spot in the top five for next season's UCL but what I never envisaged was the number of goals Newcastle conceded in this match, it was crazy to see them lose so cheaply with such goals margin. The 3 spots left after Liverpool and Arsenal are spots we're not yet certain of those to occupy eventually.
Currently Aston Villa is quite close to the top 5 of the standings so their chances of finishing in 5th position are still quite possible for them to fight for until the season really ends.
Tonight Manchester city will play host to Aston villa which promises to be a great clash due to what's at stake. A win for villa will take them up to the 4th place but should City win they'll be in the 3rd standing, which means a draw wouldn't be to any sides favours at all.
