This question is hazy. Before you get excited like you mentioned,  there must be a source for it, in the situation you described, what's is the reason for the excitement? For example, if you are excited in gambling because you won a lot of money, you have to stop whereas if you are excited for no reason, your state of mind will definitely lead you to what you will do. You did not make the situations clear but perhaps if you are excited because you won and you continue gambling and win more, you will definitely continue gambling because you are being favoured but if you are excited because you won and you continue to gamble an lose again, you will stop.
