Are you saying that students are more likely to become addicted to gambling?
It depends on some factors. If the students gamble in the right way, they may avoid addiction. But if the students gamble in a careless way and they have unstable mentality (not mature), it is very possible to be addicted. That's why there is a minimum age for the gamblers. Under age students can't join any gambling sites because they probably have no good self-control.
In my opinion there is no social condition or age to become addicted, but only a psychological condition of need for dopamine and other substances that give pleasure. This is why addiction is difficult to defeat.
The social condition or age can influence the mental of the gamblers. So, it still has a role if someone becomes addiction.
Moreover they are still students, students mostly get the money from the parents. So when they lose money in gambling, they may not regret it because they can ask the money again from their parents. This condition leads them to excessive gambling, then it will be one step to be addiction.
