I think instead of pushing adoption through social platforms, it would be better if governments and more institutional investors begin to accept crypto as this will increase market stability and bring in more liquidity. It’s not about growing numbers anymore, we should maintain the quality of the space.
I’m curious though, what is your opinion about this ?
After some years participating on social media
formand for some years
and being part of the Bitcoin and alternative currency community, I agree social media can do more harm than good to the image people have on this kinds of assets, mostly due to the sheer amount of scammers and fraudsters which lure uneducated and ignorant people to convert their Savings into Bitcoin,.so they can participate in the lastest ponzi or pyramidal scheme in trend. It does not matter if it is on Facebook, Twitter, Telegram or even WhatsApp groups.
The more people get scammed through the use of crypto currency, the more difficult will be for us to reach a higher level of adoption and liquidity in the market.
Institutional investors and governments are better sponsors than scammers and grifters on social media, whether we like it or not, because of the centralized nature of governments and big investors. In the end, what matter is the Bitcoin network to continue to be decentralized and censonship-proof.
