I saw this on X about a regular gambler and a professional gambler. From my understanding of it, it is not about the gambler being an addict but just a regular gambler.  Which of the statements do you disagree with regarding the two?

1. Emotion vs. Discipline
•Gambler: Chases wins, reacts emotionally to losses, bets impulsively.
•Professional: Trusts the process, sticks to a plan, treats losses as data.
I'd agree on this. The professional ones are not emotionally attached to their bets and that's why they have plans that they're sticking to. That is the importance of being experienced and professional because they are not falling for their own emotions. If they've lost a lot within the day, they call it a day and they won't be chasing their losses and will have to come back the next day to execute their plans again. The process, they know all of it and they've been there for so many times and that's why if it's about being disciplined as gamblers, it's them.
The controlling power of a professional gambler is definitely at a very higher level. He is not excited to lose. Such gamblers are able to control themselves. They can always take a good deal on why they need to stop when they lose and why they should not be stimulated. They do not sit emotionally, they try to win but not treated as greedy. They know they don't get a lot of money during the day. They try to understand gambling very well. Ordinary gambler usually loses control over himself. When he loses his control over himself and tries to recover his bet, which increases loss even more. Among those gamblers, there is no long -term planning or money management. They have more loss in gambling than professionals.
