If a company does the thing you have said above, of course, choosing to recing the right choice, but we must be prepared to look for other changes to continue to have income that can meet the needs we need.
When other people still choose to survive the companies that are for their employees to keep their work on the grounds of loyalty to the company where they work, of course they have their own reasons for them to find it difficult to find other jobs that can provide income for them so they have to keep doing work even though they are on holiday.

Only a wicked person and a company will reduce workers money because they refused to work on their brake days when demanded. This is why I makes sure that I read company rules and regulations, if it's there on an agreements that I signed to work on free days like this, there is no excuse for me not to work but if there is no written agreement between me and the company and my employer, I will make sure that I see to it they pay me my money in full.

This is why it's important for employers to ask questions no matter how juicy your work is, ask questions and set yourself free otherwise you will be walking into traps and no matter how good a pay job is, if you don't have that freedom to rest, your boss will call you while sleeping at home to come work for him and you wouldn't be able to say anything, and funny thing you wouldn't be able to complain about the toxic work unless you decide to quit.
