Well, I have no problems with that.
A merit is signal for effort.
Putting effort in the altcoin board is detrimental to the user.

I literally find it difficult to make post in the altcoin discussion section because what is the discussions there about? Shitcoins Huh
Probably the reason why merit distribution is rare over there because how can Merit be awarded to a discussion about unworthy coins that have no future with high risks of losing money. Anyways, since meriting is not restricted in any board, those that finds those discussions about those shit projects interesting can still merit themselves  Grin
