I'm with vapourminer on this one.
I will drink whatever I want, whenever I want it. I won't let symbols and semantics dictate when to satisfy my taste buds.
It's just a culture clash. For italians, espressi and cappucini are like a part of their identity. And they do make the best of coffee, imho, for a reason.
It's not just enjoying taste, it's more like a tradition, with pros and cons that allow that friction regarding this "simple" topic.
Just my 2 cents.
Tbh… really like Italian coffee’s but recently spending a month in Vietnam….. they have some amazing coffee’s
Didn’t expected it, but they where amazing beyond believe
True.
I didn't point out the fact that "italian" roasts are based off mainly brazilian, african and asian raw, sundried coffee beans.
There is no such thing as "italian coffee", because it is typically not grown in Italy (though yes, in very minor quantities in the south), but the roast is what makes that special blend off the import beans.
EDIT: I was once dating the daughter of a coffee-manufacturer (also only roasting and distribution), she became a friend in the process, everything i know about coffee, i learned it all from her, also how to make the most delicious cup without any type of coffee-machine.
