However, if it's the government or the regulators that are going to ask them for that so that there can be verification with a government agency so they cannot fake it out, that will make sense.

But this time, the trust is more of the reputable casinos even if there is no need for them to show some proof of bankroll or reserve. Maybe for the newer ones, this could be a thing for them to get the trust of the public and their possible customers.

I think declaring their wallet address that holds their bankroll is a must if they want to become fully transparent on their holdings.
