Not really, maybe during my early days of playing I felt that kind of thrill, but not anymore. I still find it fun, but I’ve learned not to let the excitement take over, since that’s how it can slowly turn into an addiction. It’s better to stay aware and control your reactions, once you get too hooked, it’s a slippery slope.

This makes you a more mature gambler, excitement is san emotional feeling and Gambling shouldn't have that effect on you. One thing that I have learnt over the years is that if gambling can make you happy or sad it means that you are doing it wrongly, there should be no attachment to gambling and your emotional state, it's not good for your mental health. It's just for entertainment purposes only.
