But I have one more suspicion in this case. Manchester City has a strong lobby, or rather a lot of money and network, and who knows whether the EPL is trying to not punish them such that they miss the CL. They could wait until this season ends and then see how many deducted points Manchester City could swallow without dropping out of the CL and then apply that penalty. It would be obvious, but it would not be the first time that something is obvious under these circumstances. Big clubs have a big say.
That could happen because after all, currently Mamchester City is still one of the biggest clubs in contributing especially profits so in the end this could be a new consideration to make them continue to delay again and again on this issue even though we know there have been more than 100 indictments.
Whereas if we look at the treatment of Everton or Nottingham there seems to be a different treatment in this case even though the situation in terms of charges looks the same. This is like giving a concern where when treatment is different then there must be a reason why things like that happen so it is a little natural that there is a perception when Manchester City are protected because they are still very profitable to be in the Premier League.
Now they are still having problems with charges for several years without any clarity where rumors about charges, defenses and trials are always the same every season which makes me feel that if this situation continues to happen every season because there is no clarity to make this situation complete.
