Zverev is down 5-1 against Davidovich right now, So the top seed Zeverev is in trouble right and obviously if he can't get things going then this is the biggest upset of the tournament.

Very frustrating for both players but more so Fokina, He won the first set and
fought all the way up to the tie break in the 3rd set only to completely fold, he
has great potential and has improved this season with a new coach but I think
its belief or lack of it at times that hampers him.

Totally unexepcted to me (no I didn't bet) the win made by Arnaldi.
@aoluain I would add to the list also Sonego and Arnaldi. There are also a couple of very young players that are already playing very well...
In a non suspected time I had already highlight him as a strong Italian player but being able to win against Djokovic is a great success.
Meanwhile, there is a Netflix series about Alcaraz. I didn't have this service but I guess it would be interesting to watch.

Of course, Italy has the strongest group of players by far! Paolini got beaten
by Sakkari which I wasnt expecting.

ATP Madrid is having many causalities and upsets which are giving good changes before big event which is going to start after few days at Paris first Alcaraz withdrawn from event then Medvedev have walkover win Rublev also won against Monfils through walkover.

Rune retired after losing first set which is big below for him at this stage Nishikori gone very quickly against Shapovalov in just 65 minutes unfit and uncomfortable Tsitsipas spend two hours against Struff for having win in this match but at the end Djokovic have stunning defeat against 44th ranked Italian opponent Arnaldi in just 100 minutes which making things more problematic for former no 1 as his return is now looking hardest with this performance.

It is always difficult to maintain stamina when players have to play in tournaments the scedule are very close, especially if in the previous tournament they could advance to the final, minimal rest and the possibility of injury always haunts the players. Alcaraz and Rune experienced that and if we look at the history of other players it is almost the same, but Mutua Madrid remains tight because several top players are still competing and for the Italian Open we might see Sinner back to court, but for Djokovic I think he will take a break to focus on the French Open.

Yes a lot of top players out, my dark horse for the title is Ruud!
