Brazil gave Dorival more than a year to prove himself. Why can't they give Ancelotti longer time than what they did to the Dorival? We won't know how good or bad Ancelotti's performance before he being officially appointed as a new manager by Brazil.
Finally, Brazil interest in Ancelotti is starting to show signs of improvement, he is expected to be able to guide Brazil to return to glory on the international stage. Judging from his experience and the trophies he has won for the clubs he has coached, Brazil has made the right move by appointing him as head coach.
However, his presence is a threat to young players because he is not a friendly coach to them, just look at some of Real Madrid talented players, they have difficulty getting playing minutes, he also rarely promotes players from the academy. Hopefully his attitude will change when he officially takes charge of the Brazilian National Team.
Ancelotti or a skilled manager like him was needed in Brazil a long time ago but Brazil did not understand that need or even if they understood the need they were not willing to give the responsibility of their country to a manager from another country but when they saw that their country's situation was going bad and their football was losing popularity then they are thinking carefully about bringing Ancelotti. Ancelotti's contract with Real Madrid will expire this season so if Brazil fails to bring this manager to their club in this transfer window then they will make a mistake and they will have to pay for this mistake later. If this manager officially takes charge of Brazil then I believe he will be able to change the situation of the team and make Brazil a consistent performing team again.
