I'm not sure Manchester United would have been able to beat Athletic Bilbao without Vivian's red card, before that Athletic Bilbao were in complete control of the game, after that everything fell apart. And now it's almost certain that everything is over for Bilbao in the LE, they won't be able to win back 3 goals away, and it looks like the Europa League final will be English, but whoever wins the final, I think it will be very difficult for them to play in the CL in this state.

How do you mean is going to be difficult for whoever that wins the final? Are you saying this due to thier poor performance this season? If so i think you must be very much mistaken because manchester united is already making preparation of signing new players this summer, qualifying for champions league next season is even going to motivate them to sign more capable players, because they wouldn't want to undergo this challenges that they went through this season, though I don't know about tottenham hotspur, but I'm pretty sure that they are also making thier plans.
