I know there is nothing political about the posts, but I don't know if there is something societal in them.

Both topics touch on the problems of society as a whole, so they have every right to be where they are. At the same time, if the topics touched on personal problems, for example, “I'm lazy, how do I fight it” or “I fall asleep at the wheel, what should I do about it”, then such topics would most likely belong to the “Off-topic” section.

Also, there are so-called “borderline” topics. These are topics that can fit into both sections. In this case I am personally guided by point 23 of the forum rules, i.e. I act at my own discretion.
