Satoshi Nakamoto did not need Bitcoin to be widely accepted. He created for us an alternative system of value transfer without censorship that can be used by every person on earth with money and internet.
That was really the fundamental purpose of bitcoin, no? It operated even without the government but it was fine when only a few people were using it but then it got so much attention that in the end the government started noticing it and setting restrictions against it. That’s why the hope for bitcoin, from not needing the government to now seeing the government be accepting of bitcoin as bullish signs, has shifted.
Satoshi Nakamoto's ideas are still alive despite everything that is happening in the cryptocurrency sphere. As long as there is cash and exchangers where you can make an exchange without providing personal data, you have an alternative to any government money. With the right use of Bitcoin, you can remain quite anonymous and even not pay taxes if required. Therefore, Bitcoin is still relevant and I am sure that even if Bitcoin is used only to store value, it will not lose its relevance among a fairly wide range of people.
