Selling your bitcoin too early isn't a good way to preserve the compounding value of your bitcoin portfolio even though you have reached your bitcoin target.

Investors are not expected to sell that early, except when after they buy in the dip, the market quickly rise and they were able to marginalize a reasonable amount as profit over thier short time investment, then they can sell to reinvest and continue to hold, but in most cases, i do see investors as long time holders as you have said, because they are willing to have thier asset preserved over time without losing out, and they make more profits as the market rises and they can comfortably sell at bullrun when it is pumping fast.

You don't really have to wait for the dip before you invest more, just keep buying and accumulating in respective of how much Bitcoin is, and when the dip comes ,it gives you the opportunity to buy more and aggressively if you have reasonable amount of cash with you, it is not adviceable to wait for the dip, continuous investment is the best and the wright thing to do.

Though I think it depends on the amount of bitcoin you wish to accumulate and also the amount you're investing with, but i still wonder what will be holding an investor from not reaching the status of overaccumulation before this 15 years. However, i think the idea of buying bitcoin aggressively when you have already reached the status of overaccumulation does not make much sense to me, if i get to the status of overaccumulation i will take it very slowly, i can decide to buy every dip since i have build a very large portfolio. is only those no coiners/ low coiners that is advised to invest in bitcoin without paying any attention to the market fluctuation by using the DcA method, as a no coiner/low coiner and you're hoping to buy every dip definitely it will take some couple of years before you can be able to reach your target. But when you're using the DcA method you won't even consider the market value before investing, and this is going to make the accumulating process keep moving instead of waiting for the market to dip before investing.

You have to remember that even a guy who puts 10% of his salary into bitcoin, it will take him 10 years to reach 1 year of his salary invested into bitcoin. I consider 10% reasonable if your discretionary income can tolerate it.

There are folks who are investing into bitcoin at much more whimpily than 10% per year.. so it is going to take them a while to reach over-accumulation status, perhaps even more than 20 years.

Of course, bitcoin price performance can help them, but if they were only investing 1% of their salary into bitcoin, it would take them 100 years to get 1 years salary invested into bitcoin... so it can be questionable if some whimpy levels of investing are going to be enough to get to overaccumulation status. Of course, any investment into bitcoin is better than nothing, but it pays to have a bit of an ability to increase our investing aggressiveness, especially for any of us wanting to reach overaccumulation status.

It requires adequate consideration of one’s current financial situation before he decides to increase the aggressiveness of their investment. It can prove to be a viable strategy to prioritize allocating a larger portion of one’s discretionary income towards Bitcoin, but one must learn at all times to strike a balance between investing for the future and taking care of immediate expenses. Just like a discussion I bumped into, they were discussing some investors often overlook the importance of investing in the presence or taking care of immediate expenses and focus more investing in the future.

It’s also important for investors to prioritize building and keeping in place a very solid emergency fund and other backup funds, paying off loans/debts with high interest and also ensure they’re financially stable before they can aggressively invest in Bitcoin. And maybe sometime in the future when they notice that there’s an actual growth in their income and a decrease in their expenses, then they may consider allocating more money into their Bitcoin.

The key to achieving a long term Bitcoin accumulation/investment goal remains having an effective financial management strategy in place. Such management strategies could be
1. Prioritizing Needs over wants.
2. ⁠increasing one’s income sources.
3. ⁠learning the best ways to manage your expenses.
4. ⁠regularly reviewing and if need be, adjusting their financial plans and
5. ⁠always maintaining a realistic expectation of their investment.
The best way for investors to work towards their Bitcoin accumulation/investment goals while maintaining stability in their finances is to adopt a disciplined and informed approach.

Finally on this, we should learn to DYOR, because not everything we see are truly appearing in thier real state, market could be deceiving, but an experienced investor could be dynamic on how he invest, because you can discover that when others are selling, he may be buying, because he already had the foresight that the market may be rising sooner than later and have to hold, also, having experience in bitcoin investment is very important, because it prepares us ahead of the market uncertainties and we don't easily get tricked by it volatility.
