"If I'm that person that they approached, I would sell it to them IMMEDIATELY." - said the newbie.

Kidding aside, if that was a newbie that they approached, they might jump into it immediately and sell it.

I mean it's $8,000 so... why not, right? Of course, for us who know how this works already, it will not work for us. Just the fact that they approached you out of nowhere is considered a scam attempt already. Legit people will not approach you to pitch their project - let alone on a scammy platform lik Telegram or even in discord.
Anyway, this is a bit alarming knowing that there are many newbies that are using Telegram and the fact that they're offering them a huge sum of money surely is very attractive to them. This is why we always say to learn what are the red flags when it comes to crypto including the ways how scammers are scamming people.
Another red flag is that the scammer sent me a random escrow site's link without even discussing the terms properly, like the script was already written. Normally when two parties are involved in a financial deal, they discuss about how the payments should be done, or what method would be used. He just straight out lead me to a site that I have never heard of. Obviously there must be other reputable, well known payment methods and escrow services but he didn't even bothered to ask for my preference.
