Now Telegram has a great opportunity to protect yourself and your life from unwanted contacts, especially from scammers.. This may sound like advertising, although I do not pursue such goals, but buying a premium account allows you to receive messages only from those in your contact lists or those who are permitted to do so. Wouldn't it be worthwhile to invest this modest amount for your peace of mind and to avoid the persistent imposition of advertising services?
Honestly speaking, I wasn’t aware of this feature in Telegram Premium. I thought the subscription only included animated stickers, fancy perks, and a larger upload limit. Currently, it costs about $30 annually to subscribe to Telegram Premium from my region. I think I'll give it a try.
That definitely looks like a scam to me.
Nobody is paying 8k for usernames, unless they are from influencers with a lot of followers or something. But even then, nobody would sell such a valuable username, especially because it would be like tricking their fanbase.
I do wonder what the scammer is planning to do, in the long run? Perhaps he wants you to download something or he will say the payment system did not work and he needs you to send money or something.
Whatever he tells you to do , do not do it.

I assumed they would use it to scam others. Another thing I can say is that, the site the scammer suggested had an option to connect your wallet. It could be that all of these are just big excuses to get you to connect your wallet to their site. And the moment it gets connected they plan to drain your wallet. Of course this is only a theory.
I have heard about this scam trick years back; I am surprised they have come back with it to get a new set of people that will fall for their scam.
There's is wide range of scam happening in telegram, but for someone to request for your telegram username, to pay you for it around $8k, doesn't it sound strange to be true? On proper reasoning, your sense supposed to signal it as scam when analyze because you the person can't earn up to $50 with your telegram username.

Among all the social media platforms I rate telegram as the number one place to be scammed and that is why I am very careful whenever I get a random message, my first thoughts is that it's from a scammer. I
No need to rate Telegram buddy. It is already is known as the paradise for scammers. And the best approach to avoid such scams is to just stop using platforms like Telegram and Discord.
