Important note: The cryptocurrency market is like the sea, there are gains and losses. So don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose.

Good luck, my friend!

For first serious project (which you can find in tokens announcement section, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link it here or not) I went with TON. The reason? I can't afford to lose a lot of money on more expensive networks (such as ETH). So even if the project is a failure, I guess I won't lose that much.

ETH is still the best blockchain for new project simply because it still has the most liquidity and active user that can potentially support your project in early stage rather than SOL and TON that is popular due to meme coin and other shit projects.

Don’t expect your project will gain attention on the 2 blockchain that I mentioned since most users there are interested on meme investment rather than serious project because of its quick pump and dump scheme.

Since other participants of the topic pointed out, ETH is seemingly the OG. And agreed. I did a lot of research and most of the resources were about how to do X and Y on ETH. Even when I asked how can I have a blockchain of my own with special tokens (NFTs) and smart contracts, a lot of devs (specially on reddit) introduced PyEVM for making my own layer one chain (I think this is the greatest thing I could hear for another project which I have in mind).

Well since I have multiple project ideas in mind, I think the best way to understand what fits what idea is to launch them on multiple chains. For now, I have funds on TON and SOL and two of my ideas will be running on them. For the next projects, I also considered Avalanche and Polygon.
What kind of audience you expect from Avalanche? Because from what i see, their trade volume isn't much from last 30 days.

Even SOL compared to ETH is ridiculously low, i would consider bitcoin if you don't mind PoW:

Imho only valid reason for moving to less popular chains is lack of competition, but then you are definitely missing out possibility of bigger markets as well.

Personally, I just see Avalanche as an option and not more. Of course I have to check different aspect while choosing a network to build on.
