Having a ceasefire would be nice. But it would have been better if they could just make a peace deal between them and not wait for US and China to take sides. Both these super power will tend to protect their investment in these two.

The best news heard so far in this conflict is that both countries have agreed on ceasefire and that is a big relief for over 1.5 billion people living in India and Pakistan. Both countries are spending huge amount of their GDP's on military, if both countries can settle their issue through bilateral talks then they can reduce military spending's and increase budget for health, education and welfare of their people. By fighting each other they are only making big powers more rich.

I am very worried about the conflict between India and Pakistan in the Kashmir region, the situation is very stressful especially when the two countries threaten each other to launch nukes. But fortunately, through mediation by the US, both countries finally reached an agreement to stop the war. But even so, the conflict between India and Pakistan has not completely subsided, small things can be a reason for the two countries to return to conflict. As in the current conflict which was triggered by accusations of mutual accusations.
