Neither was I, I knew they would lose that's why I put my money where my mouth is, I staked West Ham to win Manchester, Crystal Palace to win Tottenham and Nottingham Forest to win Leicester City. Funny enough these three games were supposed to be sure games if not that Nottingham Forest decided to do something else that made me to lose that very bet. For this season both Manchester United and Tottenham are gone, they just have to prepare for their finals and focus on next season afterwards.
I was not at all surprised after Man United, Tottenham and Chelsea lost all at once, especially Chelsea who faced Newcastle with 10 men. It is very natural that the three teams lost due to fatigue and the players' energy being drained after carrying the EPL at the European level. Man United and Tottenham still have the chance to qualify for the UCL next season through the automatic route, provided they win the UEL trophy.
It's funny to see Nottingham running out of gas towards the end of the season, having previously been so fierce and held on for so long in the top four, now they are in danger of failing to qualify for Europe next season.
Teams that have no interest anymore will not play hard, especially like Manchester United and Tottenham, of course they play much more carefully because they will face the Europa League final match so their defeat is not surprising.
However, Nottingham Forest's draw was the most surprising and I'm sure many people lost their bets on this match including me.
Nottingham Forest is in dire need of points to get a ticket to the European competition while Leicester has definitely been relegated so in terms of motivation, of course Nottingham Forest is much bigger but in fact they who play at home cannot maximize it, this is very unfortunate and at the same time states that Nottingham Forest's dream is over, they will not play in the European competition next season.
