It must have become rare because people started abusing it, just getting on to these platforms for the purpose of claiming bonuses only and not even gambling. Casino owners and owners of gambling platforms must have realized that that was a very bad marketing practice and had to suspend it. Even now where bonuses have some terms and conditions before claiming it, some gamblers are still looking for ways to claim casino them without actually becoming members or regular gamblers in the casino and because of that, such gamblers have been moving from one casino to another.

Most casinos offer deposit bonus. Now, if they don't offer that, they surely have their own reasons why they have no such deposit bonus.
