Xabi Alonso is a modern football player, and for sure he will try to use something new at Real Madrid because currently Real Madrid no longer has an old player like Ronaldo, Bale, Kroos etc. So he will use new tactics like quick build up or forward run rather than crosses or long ball because currently no players have the capacity to distribute good crosses or long balls.
At the beginning of his tenure with Real Madrid, I would have preferred him to bring in some defenders and a midfielder who has a playing style like Toni Kroos, Real Madrid weakness this season lies in the defensive position especially on the left and right back sides, the arrival of TAA helped a little but it was not enough.
