Satoshi had a good idea about "no one will know it's your bitcoin address". But the problem is that because bitcoin is so easily tracked and we have firms like coinanalysis, it's too hard to not have your identity linked to your bitcoin address.
BTC has a public transparent ledger, but i disagree that it is easy to link an identity to an address. First of all, if the person has notno connection with a centralized exchange or custodial service then there is no way to link their identity to their address, and even if they have used such services, only law enforcement through a court order can get their details, so not so easy like you say.
