If I am not mistaken, I think he was carefully choosing his words and was rather holding back and emphasizing that this has to be considered a long term project.

Nobody in his right mind would have believed Amorim if at his first press conference he said: "we will finish this season with a big title and the CL qualification". Think about that, everybody would have been shaking their heads. It's unreal how they can now finish this season, same for Tottenham obviously.

tbh no it doesnt even matter whether any agree meant was made at the beginning, finishing 17 is a big red flag and he should not be given another day in man united
