What I mean is, if everything remains about the same as it is now, and people keep mining even though their reward is small for finding the next block, what year will the last bitcoin be mined?

That should be roughly around 2140... Makes sense though since the reward period block drops exponentially each halving event that passes (the four year bull cycle per say). I think I've made a post about this in the past also explaining how the reward period block of the four year cycles is actually a Geometric sequence where the next term is basically half the previous term.

If you are someone who likes to play around with math a little you could hit up a formula pretty fast though. After they've all been mined miners should then depend on fees alone for their rewards.
