It's hard to understand the real motivation behind this kind of thread that was deleted, it could be that the person tried and believed that they could be helped (you never know) or if it was just a thread to troll and attract attention
I get so many scam attempts on my phone or in person that I honestly think people try every which way to get at least a few people to believe, and that might be enough[

Perhaps a post to attract attention, merits, or trolling, but it could also be a "test". Someone in BitcoinTalk might also be "investigating" what sorts of posters we plebs are in the forum.

That sort information could be useful for signature campaign managers. 🤔
