Politicians now understand that we are in the digits currency era, and people loves bitcoin because of the freedom she gives due to her decentralized nature. This is why they're using bitcoin to win the people's heart towards them but deep down in them, they don't like it because it's beyond their control and not centralized. Let's not be decieved by this politicians because of what they say.

As we have seen, no country can topple this market as it is like a free spirited person. China, one of the world's top economies banned btc and yet, it didn't collapse this currency. It continues to grow in the mainstream market.  So I would say, there's no single entity that can manipulate this market nor the politicians who are trying to get a nod from the people. Because this is like an independent entity. And so with or without these politicians, this market will continue to thrive and penetrate the mainstream market especially now that we are in the digital era. Any information you need, you can just search it in few strokes over the net.
