Yes. Because if we only hoard Bitcoin, what use would it be? The crypto economy can't move this way. Bitcoins are meant to be spent, to keep the supply "flowing". Some people will use it as a currency, while others will "hodl" it like a store of value. The majority hoards BTC for long-term profits. But as long as there's someone spending it, coins will continue to "circulate" across the Blockchain.

Laszlo made the choice of spending BTC in the past because he believed it was a currency. Just like how Satoshi wanted people to use BTC. I think the high fees and market price volatility is what's holding people back from using Bitcoin as a currency. But the time will come when this will no longer be an issue, allowing Bitcoin to rise as Fiat's true successor. Things are just getting started. We'll see what happens in the long run.

BTC is an ultimate store of value now, but will it become a true alternative to fiat? We will truly see.

It may be used now for bigger purchases, but it is not seen as the best option to do something else with it - at least yet!
