I'm looking for any of his social media profiles or email contacts or any other. He even received a 0.3 BTC donation from eXch and had a good reputation for contributing to projects.

However, after confirm his identity by asking him a pm in bitcointalk he done it and later  I sent him a XMR payment for swap, he suddenly vanished from SimpleX chat.

I don't want to assume he was a scammer, but it certainly looks that way.
