It looks strange to vanish like that, but he was a fairly new member registered few months ago, and he didn't have any reputation in forum.
I gave him neutral feedback for now, but I will remove it if he comes back and sends you agreed coins.

Before our deal he was looking for a escrow and told me that on simpleX
Why didn't you accept the escrow?
Even someone else with high rank in bitcointalk forum would accept this offer.

Hi,

It’s been almost a day, and he’s gone. Well it looks like he either blocked me or deleted my contact on SimpleX. At this point, I’m convinced he was 100% a scammer.

Because he had worked with exch and even received donations from him, I trusted him. But apparently, that wasn’t enough. He turned out to be a real scammer who was just looking to take advantage of someone before disappearing.

I didn’t use escrow because I trusted him he had connections with exch, worked for a while, and seemed like a good developer with solid knowledge. Honestly, I never imagined someone like that would scam me and then vanish. I believe right now he is looking this read and reading all those.

As I mentioned, he only referenced “@paid2” and then disappeared. I believe he may also have some connection with @paid2.

Hi,

I will show you a proof that i was talking with him. i dont think someone was pretending to him. He was real.

as you can see he sent message on simpleX and immediately sent same message on forum PM.
Note my computer timezone is different so time doesnt match.

There have been scams in the past where the scammer gets the account they are impersonating to write a PM to the victim under other pretenses. Not saying for sure that's what happened here, because as dkbit pointed out, bchannel doesn't actually have much of a reputation here on the forum.

One last thing: did you contact them first or did they contact you?

Hi, I don’t think he was impersonating. He was genuine, but his intention was to scam, and that’s exactly what he did before disappearing.

Even though he donated from an exch and worked with on couple projects and help bitcointalk users, that wasn’t enough reason to trust him. I trusted him and went first on payment, but as soon as he received the coins, he vanished immediately.
