You don't have to hold on to the past because you can do nothing to change it. At least you have learned your lesson and still have the opportunity to join the Bitcoin ecosystem. I also heard about Bitcoin a few years ago but missed out because I thought it was a scam or a Ponzi scheme. My failure was mainly because of ignorance because I should have researched about the currency. Bitcoin is still a new currency/asset, hence it still has more potential. Our focus now should be how to get money to keep buying and hodling. I believe that a few years from now some people will regret that they didn't buy Bitcoin when the price was $100k.

I think the op should understand that many of us are victims of things like this but that didn't deter us from taking the bold step, yea there are things we will remember that can make us feel bad just because we failed to act on it earlier and it will look as if we weren't serious as at that time but we are now here facing the reality, as far as we have all it takes to start investing in Bitcoin, we just have to do it as soon as possible or immediately because time waits for no body, as we can see Bitcoin has been here from then till now that's to say, the journey of Bitcoin is a continuous process so I think is better for op to start doing the needful, there's nothing to worry about, consistency is what matters, there are people that started earlier and also dump in the process and I know op wouldn't want to fall into that category, so the op shouldnt keep on feeling bad about the past event since he can't reverse time, as it is, what op should be concerned about is to join the train without hesitation and I believe in time coming he'll be having a good story to tell in the nearest future.
