Not everyone sees life as a risk. There are cautious people who avoid risks by any means and I believe it is possible to do so if one truly wants to. If such people decide to play gambling games I think their approach would also be built around avoiding risks and this would be the safest way to engage in activities involving money risks. And for those who believe that risk is a natural part of life they will take risks in everything.
The question is how justified the risk a person is willing to take actually is. And it's not just about the odds of winning or losing, but whether it makes sense at all to take certain risks.
For example, deciding to play at a casino is inherently risky, regardless of how carefully and cautiously you approach it. Let’s say you plan to play very carefully, but you’re unaware of the wagering requirements tied to your deposit. So you make a deposit, play cautiously with small bets, and then decide to withdraw your money. But it turns out you can’t—because you haven’t met the wagering conditions.
To fulfill those requirements, you need to play more and in different games, which might contradict your careful and risk-averse strategy. That already puts you in a risky position, even though you didn’t originally intend to take big risks.
