China among other countries also has huge tariffs and they are not a third world country. America placed tariffs those who seems to be their competitors. In fact many third world countries are the ones with lower tariffs so people expect other countries to operate on those countries instead. But anyway they are saying these tariffs are illegal so will it get removed? Maybe.
