I agree with this. Martingale has nothing to do with addiction. You could say that if you use Martingale you will bankrupt yourself sooner than you can get addicted, so you are safe. This strategy is more about greed and ego, you think that you are so smart that you have found the golden ticket of gambling and will make a lot of money this way. It has never worked out positively for anyone, and will never work out for anyone in the future.

I am assuming that when you are referring to skillful gamblers on table games, you are talking either about blackjack or poker, which are the only games that require skill as well as luck. Anyway...

Most "skillful" players wouldn't use even martingale, because that has nothing to do with skill. Nor they would be driven by greed. I am not sure how you even mad that leap, because i can't see any connection. Why skilled gamblers wouldn't be able to quit? It's a part of the skillset to walk away as and accept your losses.

He just wrote some low quality nonsense. To be something called a skilled gambler involves many skills, from emotional intelligence to knowing good strategies relating to the game that you are playing. To be able to walk away when it is appropriate is part of the skill set.
