I think Ronaldo is doing a great job at staying as fit as he is. He still works hard and though he may be perceived as being old, I think he's still quite relevant in the team. If not for anything else, for motivational purposes in boosting the morale of the team.

There was an attempt he made at goal with a header from a corner kick. Springing up and above everyone else, I knew he still got it. Although, it went wide, I thought that was a nice attempt and pretty good for an "old" player.
He may not be as hot as he was in his prime, he still knows what needs to be done and strives to do it.

His fitness level is something else, he's someone I admire a lot cause he's doing what most of his age grades can't do, the Portuguese national team should be very happy to have someone like Ronaldo that could still score goals at Old age, he's even better than the likes of Jackson and Hodjlund that are very young but find it difficult to find the net, that's to say that football is not necessarily about age but experience and determination to keep doing better, if those younger players put in much effort as Ronaldo on the pitch I believe that some of them that are finding it difficult would get closer to being more successful. Cristiano Ronaldo is a very big motivation to his national team, his presence alone gives them hope that they'll do better, I believe that's the reason why they played better and were ahead of Germany yesterday.
