Rather than paying a multisig company. Could i just have 3 remotely located keys myself. Eg safe, pc, phone



Sure, you can, but after setting up your multisig wallet, you should carefully test every aspect of using it, especially how it handles change addresses. Some coordinators used coordinate relevant private keys or hardware wallets if you're using any as cosigner might not handle change addresses correctly. That’s why I strongly recommend testing your chosen scheme hope it is 2-of-3 on testnet before doing anything with real funds on main net.
