I am still not sure about what OP is actually insinuating in this thread, splitting the seed phrase into mean in my perception means that 12 words are splitted into two halves (6 words each) been saved differently

Splitting your seed phrases into two locations is necessary because if a natural disaster like earthquakes, floods etc or an accident like fire happens in one of the locations where you stored your seed phrases, you can be able to recover it in the other location but multisig account is just for you and a third party to own custody of your wallet and not because of security reasons. However, the idea is not flawed if you don't keep them in a location where it can be seen by others.

You didn't quite understand the Op. He doesn't mean to save your seed phrase in two different locations, he means to divide the 12 words phrases into two, keeping 6 words in a different location and the other 6 in another location. It is not like keeping the comprehensive 12 words seed phrase in two different locations.

The OPs question seems contradictory because at first i thought it was about splitting the seed words into two part (6, 6) and keep in two different location then when you reason it in another angle it appears like the OP is talking about keeping the seed phrases in two different locations so it's really contradictory except the OP will come and clarify what he mean exactly. If the OP had said 'split my seed words into two, in two remote locations' it would have been quite direct and understandable.
