OK, so make the generation of sMerit based on earned merits and that issue goes away. Instead of outright dismissing "my" idea (it's not), why not suggest rules that would make sMerit generation fair and distributed automatically? List the rules you would like and let the community discuss. There has to be a universal way to please all the active users who want to give merit while restricting account farmers. Let's find it.

Also - please keep signature reform to a different thread to avoid complicating the issue.
