Gambling poses more threats to students even more than any other category of people and my reason for saying this is because students tend to get more desperate when they are out of money due to what they are exposed to at their age, this can can make them start doing a whole lot of things that they are not supposed to just to fuel their gambling addiction. This is more dangerous to them than anyone else
Lets start with finding reason why students pay attention to gambling, and who are students for you? At school there are students, at university there are students, but they are different age. School students run out of money - that is not a problem that pushes to gamble. At such age parents are students wallet and its their must to help their kids financially. University students run out of money and start to gamble - this time I would tell that its parents fault from the start. Because they havent given knowledge about risk and gambling (at this point we get back to "parents should not gamble in front of kids and hide gambling from them), because they havent taught their kids about possibilities to earn. Blame parents for their kids searching for financial solution in gambling, instead of blaming gambling, as it is only an instrument.
In people under the age of 25, the part of the brain responsible for critical thinking and impulse control is not yet fully developed. That’s why this role should be carried out by parents, who can provide guidance and support. Most students fall into this age group, which makes them more prone to risky behavior, such as spending all the money intended for their education at a casino.
